Information

Day 1: 
• Arrival in Basra
• Check-in at the hotel
• Boat ride in Shatt Al-Arab to see Saddam’s palaces in Basra
• Visit Saddam’s yacht if opened (9:00am to 1:00pm from Sunday to Thursday)
• Proceed to Basra Shanasheel, a traditional Iraqi house with a unique architectural style.
• Visit Saint Thomas Chaldean Church
• Explore the old city market and enjoy some traditional Iraqi food
• Free tour in Al-Jazaer street
• Night in Basra
Day 2: 
• Go to Al-Qurna where the Tigris and Euphrates meet
• See Adam’s tree
• Proceed to Al-Chibayish (marshes boat ride, Martyr Monument, Mudhif House)
• Leave to Al-Nasiriyah free tour in Al-Habbobi street
• Overnight in the hotel (Nasiriya).
Day 3: 
• Depart early to see Ur (Zigguret Ur, royal cemetery, house)
• Leave early to Samawah to visit Uruk
• Proceed to Al-Najaf and visit Wadi Al-Salam cemetery, the largest cemetery in the world
• Imam Ali Shrine, one of the holiest sites for Shia Muslims.
• Drive to Karbala
• Check-in and short rest
• Visit Shrine Imam Hussein and his brother Al-Abbas
• Overnight in Karbala

Day 4: 
• Leave to Babil (around 65 km) visit (Ishtar Gate, Lion of Babylon, Saddam’s palace)
• Witness the remains of Kish and Ziggurat of Kish (12 km) from Babil.
• Visit Bossippa Ziggurat
• Leave to Baghdad
• Visit the landmarks of Baghdad (Save the Iraqi Culture monument, Khahramana Square, Aladin’s 
Lamp, Al-Tahrir Square, Sharazad and Sharyar)
• Overnight in Baghdad
Day 5: 
• City tour: National Museum, Al-Mustansriya School (Madrassah), Qishlah, Al-Mutanabbi Street, 
Mutanabbi statue, Safareen market, Al-Shabander café. Free time at Al-Rasheed Street.
• Return to the hotel.
Day 6 
Depart for Baghdad International Airport
 

Additional notes: 
-Cameras are not allowed in the holy shrines of Najaf, Karbala, and Al-kadhimiyah. -However, mobile phones are allowed inside the shrines of Najaf and Karbala 
-Alcoholic drinks are forbidden in the holy cities of Najaf and Karbala 
-Passports with entry stamp to Israel are prohibited
-Women are required to wear hijab in Najaf, Karbala, and Al-kadhimiyah 
-The National Museum in Baghdad is closed every Saturday and Sunday-
-Other museums and places in Iraq, such as Shanasheel Basra, Qishlah, Al-Mustansiriyah School, and Abbasid Palace, are closed every Friday and Saturday
