Cameras are not allowed in the holy shrines of Najaf, Karbala,and AL-Kadhimiyah. However mobile phones are allowed.
Women must wear hijab around and inside the old cities that surround the shrines and inside the shrines as well. Also women should not wear makeup or nail polish.
Alcohol
Alcoholic drinks are forbidden from the south until Baghdad, after that there will be liquor stores and bars inside some hotels.
Museums
The National Museum in Baghdad is closed every Saturday.
Other museums and places in Iraq, like Basra Museum, Qishlah, Al- Mustansiriyah School, and Abbasid Palace, are closed every Friday and Saturday.
